Rocky Mountain Underground (RMU) began as a motivated group of friends who turned the dream of an action sports company into a reality. We started with a hand-built ski press, a garage, and some ugly skis. Yet through our constant drive for perfection, our products quickly reached, and arguably exceeded, industry standards.
These days RMU is half retail shop, half craft cocktail bar. Founded in Summit County in 2008, building skis in a garage for 30 packs, today RMU is a mountain-culture company. Breckenridge is home to RMU's first Retail + Bar location which serves as an outdoor hub with a full service bike shop in the summer.
RMU also rents demo bikes in the summer and its very own skis in the winter. Additionally it offers a backyard-beer garden where live music is hosted every Tuesday through Saturday at 7 p.m., plus yoga Wednesday and Sunday mornings.
RMU offers Transition demo bikes in the shop this year - $85 for a full day rental (24 hours), $55 for a half day (4 hours), and there is a $35 happy hour rental from 3-6 that includes a beer as well!
RMU's Full-Service Bike Shop is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mechanics are available from noon to 5 p.m.; bike drop-off is available any time the shop is open. The bike shop offers all services needed to get you back out on the trail including tunes, brake bleeds and derailleur adjustments. Click here to schedule bike service.
