The Gold Pan Saloon, located in Breckenridge, Colorado, uses the oldest liquor license west of the Mississippi. It got its start in 1879 and continued through Prohibition. Way back in 1861, a tented structure called "Long's Saloon" served thirsty miners. Then a permanent building was erected in 1879.
The bar features a wood-burning stove for warming up after a day on the slopes along with an old tradition of the longest running "High Altitude Hangover."
