Friends of Dillon Ranger District (FDRD) throws its annual fundraising Casino Night bash in early February. Attendees enjoy games like poker, blackjack, craps and roulette, along with prizes, a silent auction, appetizers and a cash bar, all while raising funds for FDRD to continue its stewardship of the forest in the Dillon Ranger District. Funds go to trail maintenance, restoration projects, educational events and youth programs. The event is held at Silverthorne Pavilion. Tickets cost $50 in advance or $60 at the door and include $500 of "funny money" for gambling.
