Ice Castles

Dillon Town Park, 120 Buffalo Street, Dillon
(970) 468-2403

The creative concept of the Ice Castles was born when a man in Utah attempted to build an ice cave at home for his daughter’s entertainment. Since then, his project has turned into an international draw and renowned winter attraction. The Town of Dillon has gained recognition by hosting the Ice Castles from late December through early March. The location in Dillon Town Park couldn’t be more stunning with Lake Dillon and the mountain ranges as a backdrop. The majestic display is built by hand by ice artists, and it includes interactive LED-lit sculptures, frozen thrones, ice-carved tunnels, slides and fountains. Plan on it being a must-see for the whole family while visiting Dillon in the winter. Everyone will love the magical experience of touring through the 10-foot walls of blue ice. The opening date is weather dependent, so check the website for dates, ticket sales and other information. The Ice Castles are built by hand and formed with thousands of icicles sculpted together.
